The Arista SFP-10G-RA-1G-LX is a SFP 1000BASE-LX (rate adapting) module from Arista Networks for 1 Gbps line / 10G host links. It plugs into a SFP port on an Arista switch and is used for campus access and distribution uplinks, inter-building fibre, CCTV and industrial aggregation, and legacy Gigabit links.

Arista specifies the SFP-10G-RA-1G-LX for Up to 10 km on single-mode fiber, same optical reach as 1000BASE-LX.

The SFP-10G-RA-1G-LX uses a Duplex LC connector on single-mode, at 1310 nm. Both ends of the link must use the same optical standard.

It works in Arista switches with SFP ports that support this optic. Arista lists it as supported on specific platforms only. Use SFP-10G-RA-1G-LX when the Arista port is 10G-only. If the port runs 1G natively, SFP-1G-LX is enough. On the fibre both are standard 1000BASE-LX.
