About the Arista QSFP-100G-SR4-E
The Arista QSFP-100G-SR4-E is a hot-swappable QSFP28 100GBASE-SR4 (E-series, low latency) optical transceiver for 100 Gbps Ethernet over parallel multimode (OM3/OM4), with a MPO-12 UPC interface and reach of up to 50 m OM4 (no FEC). It is designed for latency-sensitive fabrics such as trading networks, where FEC delay on every hop adds up. It also supports breakout to 4 × 25G-SR-E. Typical uses: 100G leaf-spine fabrics, DC interconnect, 4 × 25G breakout and service-provider aggregation.
