The CFP2-100G-LR4 optical transceivers are designed for use in 100-Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber, supporting transmission distances of up to 10 kilometers. These modules comply with the CFP2 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4 standard, and ITU-T G.959.1-2012-02 specifications for long-reach optical interfaces.

The transceiver integrates four independent channels, each operating at 25.78 Gb/s, using LAN-WDM wavelengths multiplexed onto a single fiber pair. Digital diagnostic monitoring functions are available via the MDIO management interface, as defined in the CFP2 MSA Management Interface Specification.

The QSFP-40G-UNIV optical transceivers are designed for use in 40-Gigabit Ethernet applications over both single-mode and multimode fiber. Supporting transmission distances of up to 150 meters on OM3/OM4 multimode fiber and up to 500 meters on single-mode fiber, this module enables flexible, cost-effective deployment in diverse data center environments.

Compliant with the QSFP+ MSA, IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-LR4 and 40GBASE-SR4 standards (via internal mode conversion), the QSFP-40G-UNIV uses four 10Gb/s channels multiplexed into a single 40Gb/s stream. An integrated WDM multiplexer and demultiplexer allow seamless operation over duplex LC connectors.

The GLC-BX-U optical transceivers are designed for Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber using a single fiber strand. Operating on the upstream wavelength of 1310 nm and receiving on 1490 nm, the module supports link distances of up to 10 kilometers.

This transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-BX-U and SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) standards. It is designed to operate with its complementary module, the GLC-BX-D, for bidirectional communication over a single fiber using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology.

The CWDM-SFP-1570 optical transceivers are designed for Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel applications over single-mode fiber, utilizing a fixed wavelength of 1570 nm. These modules support transmission distances of up to 80 kilometers, depending on fiber quality and system design.

Compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX, and relevant CWDM specifications, the CWDM-SFP-1570 operates on the Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) grid, enabling multiple data channels over a single fiber pair for efficient bandwidth utilization.

The SFP-H10GB-CU1M is a 10-Gigabit SFP+ direct-attach copper (DAC) cable designed for short-range, high-speed interconnects in data center and enterprise networking environments. With an overall length of 1 meter, this passive twinax cable provides a cost-effective, low-latency solution for connecting SFP+ ports within racks or between adjacent racks. Compliant with the SFP+ MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-CU standards, the SFP-H10GB-CU1M supports data rates up to 10 Gb/s per channel and is optimized for low power consumption and minimal electromagnetic interference (EMI).

The GLC-BX-D optical transceivers are designed for Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber using a single fiber strand. Operating on the downstream wavelength of 1490 nm and receiving on 1310 nm, this module supports transmission distances of up to 10 kilometers.

The transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-BX-D and the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). It is specifically designed to operate with its complementary module, the GLC-BX-U, enabling bidirectional data transmission over a single fiber using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology.

The SFP-25G-SR-S optical transceivers are designed for use in 25-Gigabit Ethernet applications over multimode fiber. Utilizing a wavelength of 850 nm, the module supports link distances of up to 70 meters over OM3 fiber and up to 100 meters over OM4 fiber. Compliant with the IEEE 802.3by 25GBASE-SR standard and the SFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), the SFP-25G-SR-S provides a high-performance, cost-effective solution for next-generation data center and enterprise network deployments. The module supports a data rate of 25.78 Gb/s and is designed for low power consumption and high port density.

The CFP2-DCO (Digital Coherent Optics) transceivers are designed for high-speed, long-haul and metro optical transport applications supporting data rates up to 100G, 200G, and in some cases 400G, depending on configuration. These modules are optimized for use over single-mode fiber and can support transmission distances exceeding 1000 kilometers, depending on modulation format and link design. Compliant with the CFP2 MSA and OpenROADM standards, the CFP2-DCO module integrates advanced coherent DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology, enabling support for flexible modulation formats such as QPSK and 16QAM. These features allow operators to balance reach and capacity according to network demands.

Cisco SFP Compatibility Matrix

Before ordering, it's critical to match the correct SFP to your specific Cisco switch or router model and IOS/NX-OS version. Our team cross-references Cisco's official SFP support matrix and compatibility requirements to confirm the right part number for your platform — helping you avoid port-lockout or "transceiver validation failed" errors common with mismatched third-party optics.
