The Arista QDD-400G-ZR-EE is a QSFP-DD 400ZR, −10 dBm, energy efficient module from Arista Networks for 400 Gbps links. It plugs into a QSFP-DD port on an Arista switch and is used for 400G spine and super-spine fabrics, AI/ML clusters, 4 × 100G breakout and data-centre interconnect.

Arista specifies the QDD-400G-ZR-EE for Up to 120 km over duplex single-mode fiber with optical amplification (DWDM line system).

Per Arista's published optics data sheet, the QDD-400G-ZR-EE transmits −10 dBm class and receives −16 to 0 dBm.

The QDD-400G-ZR-EE uses a Duplex LC connector on duplex single-mode (G.652), at 1528.77–1566.52 nm (C-band tunable). Both ends of the link must use the same optical standard.

It works in Arista switches with QSFP-DD ports that support this optic. Arista lists it as supported on specific platforms only. QDD-400G-ZR is 400ZR with OpenZR+ support (−10 dBm class); QDD-400G-ZR-EE is the energy-efficient 400ZR version; QDD-400G-ZRP is the high-power ZR+ optic (> 0 dBm output) for longer amplified routes. OSFP-400G-ZR is the OSFP form factor version. All need a supported platform and line system.
