The Arista QSFP-100G-XSR4 is a QSFP28 100GBASE-XSR4 module from Arista Networks for 100 Gbps links. It plugs into a 100G QSFP port on an Arista switch and is used for 100G leaf-spine fabrics, DC interconnect, 4 × 25G breakout and service-provider aggregation.

Arista specifies the QSFP-100G-XSR4 for 150 m on OM3 and 300 m on OM4 parallel multimode fiber.

Per Arista's published optics data sheet, the QSFP-100G-XSR4 transmits −8.3 to +2.4 dBm/lane and receives −10.3 to +2.4 dBm/lane.

The QSFP-100G-XSR4 uses a MPO-12 UPC connector on parallel multimode (OM3/OM4), at 850 nm. Both ends of the link must use the same optical standard.

SR4 / SR4-E / XSR4 use 8-fibre MPO trunks (SR4-E adds a no-FEC low-latency mode, XSR4 extends reach to 300 m OM4). SWDM4, SRBD and SR1.2 run on ordinary duplex LC multimode, so existing 10G fibre pairs can be reused.
