About the NVIDIA Mellanox MMA1L10-CR

The NVIDIA Mellanox MMA1L10-CR is a hot-swappable QSFP28 100GBASE-LR4 optical transceiver for 100 Gbps InfiniBand and Ethernet links over single-mode fiber, with a Duplex LC interface and reach of up to 10 km SMF. It is NVIDIA's 100G long-reach optic: four LAN-WDM lanes on one duplex LC single-mode pair for 10 km campus, inter-building and DCI links, usable for 100GbE or EDR InfiniBand. Typical uses: 100GbE leaf-spine fabrics, EDR InfiniBand HPC clusters, storage and data-center interconnect.

MMA1L10-CR: frequently asked questions

What is the NVIDIA Mellanox MMA1L10-CR?

The MMA1L10-CR is a QSFP28 100GBASE-LR4 module from NVIDIA's LinkX range for 100 Gbps InfiniBand and Ethernet links. It plugs into a QSFP28 (or QSFP56) port on an NVIDIA / Mellanox switch, adapter or DPU and is used for 100GbE leaf-spine fabrics, EDR InfiniBand HPC clusters, storage and data-center interconnect.

What is the NVIDIA SKU for the MMA1L10-CR?

NVIDIA's current ordering number for the MMA1L10-CR is 980-9I17P-00CR00. Newer NVIDIA price lists, quotes and firmware support tables use this 980-/930- SKU, while older documents and most resellers use the legacy OPN MMA1L10-CR. They are the same module; quote either and we will match it.

What is the maximum distance of the MMA1L10-CR?

NVIDIA specifies the MMA1L10-CR for up to 10 km on single-mode fiber.

Which fiber and connector does the MMA1L10-CR need?

The MMA1L10-CR uses a Duplex LC connector on single-mode fiber (OS2), at 1310 nm (LAN-WDM, 4 lanes). Both ends of the link must use the same optical standard.

Does the MMA1L10-CR work for both InfiniBand and Ethernet?

Yes. NVIDIA qualifies the MMA1L10-CR for 100GBASE-LR4 (also EDR InfiniBand, 40GBASE-LR4), so the same module runs in InfiniBand mode on Quantum / Switch-IB ports and ConnectX VPI adapters, and in Ethernet mode on Spectrum switches and ConnectX Ethernet ports. The port decides the protocol; the optic does not need to change.

Is the MMA1L10-CR compatible with my NVIDIA / Mellanox switch or adapter?

It works in NVIDIA and Mellanox platforms with QSFP28 (or QSFP56) ports that list this part in their firmware 'validated and supported cables and modules' table. Send us your switch / adapter model and firmware version and we check it against NVIDIA's support list before dispatch, so you only receive a module that links up in your port.

MMA1L10-CR vs MMA1L30-CM: LR4 or CWDM4?

MMA1L10-CR (LR4) reaches 10 km. MMA1L30-CM (CWDM4) reaches 2 km and is the lower-cost choice for links within a campus or between nearby buildings. Both use duplex LC single-mode fiber, but LR4 and CWDM4 are not interoperable, so both ends must be the same type.

Is the MMA1L10-CR still available?

NVIDIA has marked the MMA1L10-CR legacy / end-of-life, so it is no longer in regular production. Next Gen Networks sources genuine new and surplus stock on request. Tell us the quantity and we will confirm availability, or suggest the current NVIDIA equivalent.

Is your MMA1L10-CR genuine NVIDIA / Mellanox?

Yes. Next Gen Networks supplies original NVIDIA (Mellanox) LinkX parts, not third-party lookalikes or grey-market stock. Every unit is checked before dispatch and we share serial numbers on request so you can verify them with mlxlink / mlxcables or the switch's transceiver inventory.

What is the MMA1L10-CR price in India and how do I order?

The NVIDIA Mellanox MMA1L10-CR price in India depends on quantity, delivery city and current stock. Next Gen Networks supplies it with a GST invoice (input tax credit ready) and pan-India dispatch from New Delhi. Send the part number (or NVIDIA SKU 980-9I17P-00CR00), quantity and delivery city on WhatsApp +91-7827955775 or email Sales@nextgennetworks.in and we reply with a GST quote.
