About the NVIDIA Mellanox CX-T-40G-QSFP-BD
The NVIDIA Mellanox CX-T-40G-QSFP-BD is a hot-swappable QSFP+ 40G BiDi optical transceiver for 40 Gbps Ethernet links over multimode fiber, with a Duplex LC interface and reach of up to 100 m OM3 / 150 m OM4. It is a Cumulus Express transceiver that NVIDIA sold with Cumulus Linux white-box switch bundles; the family is now end-of-life (NVIDIA LCR-000637). BiDi optics carry 40G over an ordinary duplex LC multimode pair, reusing 10G cabling. Typical uses: 40GbE and FDR10 spine, aggregation and HPC cluster links, plus 4 × 10G breakout.
