About the NVIDIA Mellanox MMS4A20-XM800
The NVIDIA Mellanox MMS4A20-XM800 is a hot-swappable OSFP single-port 800G DR4 optical transceiver for 800 Gbps InfiniBand links over single-mode fiber, with an MPO-12/APC interface and reach of up to 500 m SMF. It is the adapter-side 800G XDR optic: a single-port OSFP DR4 that links one ConnectX-8 (or B300 / GB300 system) port to one half of a twin-port 1.6T Quantum-X800 switch optic. XDR 800G optics run four 200G PAM4 lanes per port, for Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X800 Ethernet fabrics with ConnectX-8 / BlueField-4 adapters. Typical uses: NDR / XDR InfiniBand and 400GbE / 800GbE AI back-end fabrics on Quantum-2, Quantum-X800, Spectrum-4 and Spectrum-X.
