The NVIDIA Mellanox MMS4X00-NM-HGX is a hot-swappable OSFP twin-port 2 × 400G DR4 optical transceiver for 2 × 400 Gbps InfiniBand and Ethernet links over single-mode fiber, with a 2 × MPO-12/APC interface and reach of up to 500 m SMF. It is the HGX-platform ordering version of the flat-top MMS4X00-NM twin-port DR4, specified for HGX NVL8 system networking. Twin-port OSFP optics carry two independent 400G links in one OSFP cage: each MPO-12/APC port links to a single-port 400G optic (MMS4X00-NS400 / MMA4Z00-NS400 class) at the adapter end, or to another twin-port optic switch-to-switch. Typical uses: NDR / XDR InfiniBand and 400GbE / 800GbE AI back-end fabrics on Quantum-2, Quantum-X800, Spectrum-4 and Spectrum-X.
