The NVIDIA Mellanox MMS4X00-NS400 is a hot-swappable OSFP single-port 400G DR4 optical transceiver for 400 Gbps InfiniBand and Ethernet links over single-mode fiber, with an MPO-12/APC interface and reach of up to 500 m SMF. It is the single-port 400G OSFP DR4 for NDR adapters: four 100G PAM4 lanes on single-mode fiber, linking to one half of a twin-port MMS4X00-NM / -NS switch optic. Which fiber and connector does the MMS4X00-NS400 need?

Finned / IHS housings go in air-cooled switch cages with open OSFP slots; flat-top / RHS housings go in cages that carry their own heat-sink (ConnectX adapters, DGX / GB-series trays, liquid-cooled switches). Fit the housing to the cage, otherwise the module will not seat or cool properly.
